Outside Sales Representative

Team: Sales
Direct Manager: CEO / Head of Sales
Location: Hybrid (W/F in office)
Compensation: $50-60K Base + Commission.
Commission will take time, but within a full year, a successful candidate should be able to reach $90K.

We are an MSP (Managed Service Provider) offering IT services to schools, cities, and businesses. We have 30 employees and are located in a contemporary, renovated Library in Detroit.

Here are the position responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new business daily via personal connections, cold calls, email, LinkedIn, events, etc. Bring your secret sauce to lead generation.
  • Log prospecting activities in our lead database and update our PSA accordingly
  • Get your hands dirty in our service departments to scope the proper technical solutions and pricing for each prospective client
  • Attend networking events and perform demos for partner and MC services
  • Buddy up with our vendors for lead flow, partner events and promotions, and maintaining our partner statuses
  • Create and send quotes for our services
  • Manage the RFP process for prospective clients that require it
  • Enjoy the chase! Build relationships and follow-up to consistently close new client deals.

Whatcredentials and experience do you have?

  • 3+ years presenting, selling and negotiating with the big guns (C-Suite)
  • 3+ years selling technical products and services to people who may or may not be familiar with industry jargon
  • Demonstrated experience crushing quotas and exceeding performance benchmarks in a largely unsupervised environment
  • Formal sales training (i.e. Sandler or equivalent that speaks to pain, budget, and decision maker process)
